ECODESIGN & ENVIRONMENTAL CORPORATE STRATEGIES
Talk
Presented by Paulo Romero
Day01. Wednesday, July 07, 15:30-16:30 EDT
Eco-design has a long history, but its impact in markets today is not keenly felt. Systemic work, requiring both organization-based environmental strategies and sustainable operational resources, is still needed to achieve measurable goals for actionable eco-design and more broadly, circular economies. This talk will explore what skills are necessary to guide environmentally strategic actions, and discuss tools and methods that can be leveraged to help develop this learning.
Today, organizations are challenged to lead strategic actions related to everyday management. Eco-design has a history of over 30 years, and one of its tools, The Lifecycle Analysis dates back to the 60s, but its impact in markets today is strongly underrepresented. To achieve measurable goals for actionable eco-design, or more broadly, in the frame of the circular economy, systemic work is required, involving both organization-based environmental strategies and sustainable operational resources. This talk will explore what skills are necessary to guide environmentally strategic actions and identify tools and methods that can be used to build this learning.
